Abdulwahed, a young, philosophical musician, was born in a Palestinian refugee camp in Damascus. Drawn to the streets in the early days of the uprising, he was soon detained by the Syrian Regime. Abdulwahed was eventually released and moved to Turkey to start a new life. There he sought solace in music, studying with Sheikh Seif and later with renowned oud master Necati Celik. Still haunted by his traumatic experiences, his wrestles with questions of identity and his place in the world.
